Sereñina was elected as the new AWS President, succeeding the outgoing president, D/C Joriel Mancao, while Ms. Rosegen Muñoz was elected as Vice President. The proceedings were conducted under the supervision of former President Mancao, ensuring a smooth transition of leadership. Present during the assembly were Campus HR Director Mr. Alvin D. By D/C Bartolome Bulan The filing of the Certificate of Candidacy for the next officers of the different Student Body Organizations (SBO) will commence next week, running from May 13 to May 17, 2024. Subsequently, the different parties will embark on their campaign from May 17 to May 28, culminating in the highly anticipated election on May 29 for the SBOs and May 30 for the CML. The race for the next CML has intensified as aspiring candidates form alliances, promising to serve and lead with pride and honor. Today, the outgoing CML officers, along with the Election Committee and aspiring candidates for the next term, convened for an orientation and planning session for the upcoming 2024 election at the UC-METC Audio Visual Room. Campus SAO Director Engr. Vicente Miñoza and CML adviser Dr. Daryl Babatid collaborated to outline the timeline of activities for the forthcoming elections.

By Emmanuel Jaboneta The Council of Maritime Leaders highlighted the availability of the T-Shirt Merch for the upcoming University of Cebu – Maritime Education and Training Center.   In a post posted by the CML in their official Facebook page, they announced that they are still accepting pre-orders with sample sizes at the I-Building Study Hall.   “Don’t miss out on the opportunity to grab your very own METC Days shirt for only 250 pesos and join in the fun,” CML wrote on their page.   Meanwhile, they also clarified that the pre-ordering of shirts will last until May 17.
