NAME Days kick off with Harry Potter-Inspired theme

The highly anticipated NAME Days  commenced with the Mr. and Ms. NAME competition, unfolding in a captivating Hogwarts-themed atmosphere. Participants representing different houses showcased their talents including casual interviews, a fashion competition, and a Q&A session.


Nichole Acha and Cywell Oliveros representing the House of Reeds, emerged as the victorious candidates, earning the esteemed titles of Mr. and Ms. NAME 2024. 


Meanwhile, the House of Papanikolaou secured the  first runner-up position, represented by Gleyann Navares and Kurstein Paul Quirante. While the House of Okumoto's Nicole Estrera and Hildebrand Rosales earned the second runner-up spot.


Topping off the winners' list, the House of Tupper claimed the third runner-up position with the outstanding performances of Rodilyn Rosalinda and Jeremy Omandac.

Anchor Publication's Inaugural Summit Marks Relaunch with 'LAOM' Magazine Debut and Achievements Celebration

The Anchor Publication, the official student publication of the University of Cebu – Maritime Education and Training Center, held its inaugural Anchor Summit to celebrate the relaunch, revival, achievements, and accomplishments of the organization. A highlight of the event was the launch of Anchor’s newest magazine, “LAOM.” The Summit began with formal opening remarks by Campus Director and Dean of the College of Maritime Education, Capt. Gerry D. Enjambre. “Always remember to maintain your integrity and show students that you are deserving of their trust,” Capt. Enjambre advised the campus scribes. Anchor’s Technical Adviser, Mr. Richard Lagus Jr., and Legal Adviser OIC-NW, Dave Polistico, expressed their gratitude.
